Welcome to Salida Little League!

Salida Little League is the only chartered Little League between Manteca and Turlock. We would like to welcome everyone to the league, whether you are new or returning.

We believe that we have an outstanding and caring Board of Directors again this year who have demonstrated a dedication to Salida Little League and want to make a difference in our league. The board has already been working hard planning for a successful 2008 season.

We are always looking for volunteers to help in all areas especially umpiring, field preparation, maintenance and the snack bar to name a few. If you have an area of expertise that we could benefit from please let a board member know that you would like to help. It would be graciously appreciated! 

As part of the Salida Little League we strive to offer your child or children a positive athletic experience, where they will learn the 3 basic fundamentals of Little League – “Character” ~ “Courage” ~ “Loyalty”. As family members of players we will also be expected to “Honor the Game” and support all players in a positive manner.

We feel it is very important to allow our young athletes to have fun playing the game of baseball or softball with their friends, classmates and opponents from previous years. It is also important to meet new friends each year. Children only get to play Little League for a short period of time in their life but these years will often shape the path a child takes in whether they continue to play baseball, softball or other sports in the years to come. From our experience most children have more fun playing on teams with or against their friends, so it is important to play here with Salida Little League. We can compete with anyone and be successful!
